Schooner Ernestina is transiting from Boston toward the Cape Cod Canal this afternoon with 17 Elderhostelers aboard for a six-day program that will finish in New Bedford on Saturday morning, June 3rd.

The chart image shows the Ernestina moving SW'ly (orange track) with Provincetown off to the northeast and the ship under an hour out of the East End of the Cape Cod Canal. The Canal is at the bottom left of the image. Plymouth Bay is in the upper left. For scale, there is about 15 nautical miles from top to bottom in the image.

The red track shows the previous run from New Bedford to Boston on Saturday, the orange track shows the current track enroute to Martha's Vineyard for Tuesday.

The ship will be anchoring tonight by 2000 EDT near Aucoot Cove (South of Sippican Neck) in Buzzards Bay.
