All hands gather to weigh anchor at 0845
and underway from the Sakonnet River with main,
fore, jumbo and jib set. The
wind is light all day as participants sail and
navigate the ship toward Padanarum.
By 1605 the starboard anchor is
down with one shot (90') at the hawse in 17' of
water in Apponagansett Bay.
We set anchor watches and
gather together for closing night activities
before the early morning end to the program
tomorrow.
This is the last trip this year
for Seth Goodwin and Erica Sachs. We wanted to
thank them for all their great work as crew and
educators!
