Fairhaven HS

Barbara Belanger and her high school science class came out for a sail and learning stations this morning. You can see the track in th chart image to the right.

Tower Productions filming for the History Channel

Jeff Martin and his film crew took the ship out in the afternoon for some film clips for an upcoming story about the lifesaving corps along coastal Massachusetts during the 19th century. They were looking for some authentic imagery as they put together the film. There are few more authentic sites than the National Historic Landmark schooner Ernestina!

The lower chart track shows the track for this sail. Ernestina staff Traudi Coli and Tom Goux helped with some of the images as shipwright Leon Poindexter installed a new cathead and cleat forward.

We know Jeff Martim was looking for a more blustery, storm tossed day but the front got through early on in the day and cleared out fast. Hopefully, the camera effects and editing can build in the imagery they are looking for!

Captain: Amanda Madeira
Program Coordinator: Inette Rex

We would like to thank Lotus and IBM for donation of software, hardware and funding to enable regular electronic updates from the ship.
