Emerson College
Three-day Program: Day 3

We departed Tarpaulin Cove after chores and morning meeting for a lovely sail in the lee of the Elizabeth Islands down to Quicks Hole. Enroute the crew and Claire Andrade Watkins explained the significance of the Ernestina ex Effie M. Morrissey throughout her 107 years of history. Claire is creating a film about Cape Verdian immigrants, development of their local communities and their contribution to our culture- of which the Ernestina has played a part.

We worked our way up to Clarks Cove where trawled our last Otter trawl ands sampled water before anchoring for an all hands lunch. A fun filled field day before we returned to the State Pier for the season. What a great company of persons from Emerson College and a great trip to bring our season to an end.
