Extensive
work is in progress at the yard this winter with a particular
focus on the forward end of the ship. On the other hand, the propeller
was pulled and reconditioned also. As of April 14th the
planking was almost done and the caulking will be next be
later in the week.
Two locking
nuts retain the propeller on the end of the shaft. There is
also a pin through the shaft to make sure the propeller can't
back off when the ship goes astern.

Steve Swift works on the propeller from a scaffolding back
aft.
